HISTORY: A Building Block....Mike Grandstaff


MIKE GRANDSTAFF was VT's first 3x NCAA qualifer during his HOKIE career, 1958-1962. He was the #5 seed at the 1962 NCAA tournament. This was an era when true freshman were not allowed to compete at the varsity level. He was the mainstay of those Coach Frank Teske lead teams. He was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed Blacksburg and the SW Virginia countryside. Sadly, VT lost this building block in September 2018. Appreciate any additional information about Mike Grandstaff!!
